    MADRE DE DIOS (TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE) - 03 DAYS

     

    DAY 01 (PUERTO MALDONADO – SANDOVAL LAKE – MALOKA SANDOVAL LODGE): Once we arrive to Puerto Maldonado (Peru`s Biodiversity Capital), we join ourselves at the airport or bus station. Then we are going to start the tour in our private vehicle (around the city). After that we will go to Puerto Maldonado port (Capitania) to board our covered motorized boat, going down river for 45 minutes (around) to the Sandoval Lake that is into the “Tambopata National Reserve”, during the way, we will put ourselves in a fascinating natural environment, where we will be able to observe a lot of wildlife such as: alligators, capybaras, turtles, herons, cormorants, etc. and much more species of animals. To arrive to the Sandoval Lake we have to walk 3 km. (1 hour aprox.) since the port. Once in the lake, we board a canoe and 30 minutes after (paddle) we will arrive to Maloka Sandoval Lodge.

     

    Once in our comfortable lodge owned also by Peru mysteries, we will be greeted with the tropical Amazonian nectar fruits, providing you then your comfortable bungalow (room accommodation). After that we are going to enjoy a delicious lunch and after a little siesta, we will be guided by our professional guide through a nice trail conveniently signposted to enjoy the spectacular sunset of the rain forest (a multicolored experience). And then with the help of our flash light, we are going to do a night walk in the trail system of the area having the chance to see night monkeys, snakes, frogs and different type of insects. Once again in our lodge, we will enjoy a delicious dinner, and then we will have the chance to enjoy unforgettable moments in our bar (games and all type of drinks). Enjoy the night…

     

    DAY 02 (SANDOVAL LAKE – BRAZIL NUT TRAIL – CAIMAN SEARCH): The day is going to start in this ecological paradise with a mixture of sounds; a succulent breakfast will provide us the energy needed for a morning full of new experiences. Then we are going to board our canoe to have a tour around the Sandoval Lake which constitutes an special ecosystem (immense variety of animals). We will be able to observe Giant Otters, black and white caimans, turtles, the majestic jaguar, bird, etc. After the lake we will start an adventure in a virgin jungle trail (Brazil Nut Trail). This deep jungle is unique and keeps it intact; during this walk we will observe and a huge variety of fauna and flora (flooded forest) such as: macaws, parrots, toucans, Hoatzins and other typical birds. A great variety of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as: spider, howler, cappuccino, etc. and also other animal species like Coati and lazy bears. Finally, we return to our lodge and finish the day with a nice dinner.

     

    DAY 03 (MALOKA SANDOVAL LODGE - PUERTO MALDONADO): After a grateful night, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, then returning to Puerto Maldonado, during the journey we can continue appreciating the wonderful of the Peruvian jungle.

    DAY 04 (CITY TOUR IN CUSCO): From 1:30pm to 6:30 pm - Cusco tour and surrounding areas

     

    Qoricancha Temple and the Convent of Santo Domingo: The tour starts in this religious center known as “The Temple of the Sun” where you will admire the impressive engineering used in its building.

     

    Sacsayhuaman: Built in the upper part of Cusco city, impressive stone site with an excellent architecture, famous for its huge carved stones some of which are at 9 m/ 30 feet high, with a weigh of 350 tons. Here is where the Inty Raymi or Sun festivity is realized in June Every year.

     

    Qenqo: Amphitheatre, Ceremonial and ritual center, where important sacrifices were made.

     

    Puca-Pucara: An old red Tambo (resting place), a monitoring place throughout the Inka Empire Routes.

     

    Tambomachay: At 7 Km. From the city of Cusco, ceremonial center of cult to the water is traditionally known as the place where water respite.

    DAY 05 (SACRED VALLEY OF THE INKAS): From 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.

     

    We pick you up, and then we start our guided tour in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas, most of the time surrounding by the Vilcanota river, enjoying the panoramic view in Pisac (an old Inca City), then we will visit the traditional market in this village, where we will have the chance to bargains with the handicrafts and souvenirs sellers, we will enjoy its people customs and traditions afterwards we will arrive to Urubamba, traveling always near the Vilcanota river.

     

    Where we are going to have lunch. In the afternoon we are going to visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to part of the valley and to protect it from the jungle’s habitant invasions. We will have the chance to walk throw the narrow streets and have a clear knowledge of how this religious and military center was during the Inka empire.

     

    After ollantaytambo and going back to Cusco we will visit the colorful village and site of Chinchero, where we are going to enjoy the palace of the Inka Tupac Yupanqui (Royal House), we will appreciate its well preserve Inka wall in the main plaza and then visit the interesting Colonial Church built over Inca Bases with invaluable portraits. Then directly to Cusco

    MACHU PICCHU TOUR - 01 DAY

     

    DAY 06 (MACHU PICCHU):

     

    For this trip, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at a time previously coordinated (variable hours), we will transfer you to the train station (Poroy or Ollantaytambo) where you will board the train heading to the town of "Aguas Calientes" (2 000 masl.). The duration of this part of the trip is variable, depending on the type of service you choose. Aguas Calientes is a little town located 30 minutes (by bus) from the citadel of Machu Picchu; after some snacks, we will take one of the buses to ascend 400 m. by a zigzagging road until reach the world wonder "The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu".

     

    The guided tour in Machu Picchu takes approximately 2 hours. The guided tour will begin visiting the main sectors of the citadel: The sacred plaza, The Sun Temple, The Intihuatana (Solar deal), the Royal Enclosures, the Three Windows Temple and the cemetery. At the end of the tour you will have some free time to explore the citadel. After this visit You have to return to the town of Aguas Calientes and enjoy your food in one of the local restaurants.

     

    Then you will take the train back. The return will follow the same pattern as the outward journey, when you arrive at the train station, we will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel.

    THE SOUTHERN VALLEY OF CUSCO (TIPÓN-PIKILLACTA-ANDAHUAYLILLAS) - 01 DAY

     

    DAY 07: From 09:00 am. to 14:00 pm.

     

    It is the perfect route when you look for archaeological sites with a unique landscape environment, in a short period of time. Our tour to the Southern Valley of Cusco, starts you’re your respective hotel at 8:40 am (pick up time) in one of our private vehicles, In the way we are going to enjoy the view of the southern part of Cusco.

     

    Following this we can experience the fabulous hydraulic system of Tipón, the straight constructions of Pikillaqta and the famous art of the Cusco school in Andahuaylillas; as well as you can enjoy the famous cuisine of the place: in the village of Saylla the "chicharrones", in Tipon the succulent "cuy al horno" (guinea pig) and in Oropesa do not miss trying their famous "pan chuta".

     

    TIPON.- We will observe the perfectly aligned terraces; 12 different levels that decorate the geographical environment. This walls were constructed with finely carved stones; the irrigation system in which the Inca ideology is determined. The mystery water of this important archaeological site is still used by the local population (farming).

     

    PIKILLAQTA.- The characteristics of this great urban center correspond to the development time of the Wari empire (pre-Inca culture). The constructions are made from stone without carving and clay that serves as mortar (pirca style), surrounded by walls up to 12 m high, arranged in sets and separated by straight streets, which provide an aspect of fortress. There are like 700 buildings, 200 courts and 508 stores or Qolcas (maybe houses), among other buildings. It is a sample of a well planned urbanism.

     

    SISTINE CHAPEL OF ANDAHUAYLILLAS.- Andahuaylillas is a charming village. The main plaza, studded with enormous pisonay trees, is where is situated the Andahuaylillas jewel, the Church of Saint Peter - the Apostle. Conceived and built by the Jesuits at the beginning of the 17th century, the neo-Baroque decorated temple, its harmonious interior combine to make it one of the region's most beautiful churches.

    TITICACA LAKE – A NATURAL WONDER 02 DAYS /01 NIGHT

     

    DAY 08 (MAIN HARBOR – UROS, THE FLOATING ISLANDS - AMANTANI ISLAND (OVERNIGHT)): We begin our tour picking you up from your hotels at 7:45 am; the first stop will be on the floating islands of the Uros...

     

    UROS.- Located 30 minutes by boat from the main port, then we will begin our visit with the recognition of each island, explaining how they built these islands on the highest lake in the world (built with totora), as well as its importance. Inhabited by the Aymaras, this place is considered one of the oldest Andean civilizations, since it arose long before the Incas; Fishing, bartering and their crafts are part of their economy. Approximate visit: 1 hour and a half.

     

    AMANTANI.- The second visit of the day will be on the island of love. Amantani The largest island of Lake Titicaca, is located 3 hours of navigation (9 km. Approx.), During the trip, we can enjoy the great beauty of the landscapes. In the port of Amantani, the president of the community will welcome us, and begin to divide us into groups so that families are responsible for giving us all the required attention (accommodation, food and company). In the afternoon we will have the option of walking through the sacred mountains known as Pacha Tata, this walk will begin after the coordination of our guide.

     

    Amantani, the natural home of the national flower of Peru la Cantuta, is known for the kindness of its people, where eight communities live on the terraces, raising animals, handcrafting textiles and carving in stone. Overnight at home of locals.

     

    DAY 09 (AMANTANI - TAQUILE - PUNO): After a delicious typical breakfast, we will go to the next island, "Taquile" the trip by boat lasts 1 hour, where we will have the opportunity to meet the people of Taquile, very cooperative and well organized. The Taquileños recognized worldwide by a high degree of advancement in Textile, have been awarded by UNESCO. It should be noted that yarns and fabrics are made mainly by men and women from eight years old onwards.
